It is not too late to feel better
I offer in-depth support that closely connects emotions, the unconscious and the body, drawing primarily on hypnosis and IFS (Internal Family Systems), as well as on my twenty years of practice in Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Galae Therapies
Eric Darmais
Supervised practice
Sometimes emotions become overwhelming, the body expresses itself through persistent pain, or the same situations repeat in our lives despite all our efforts to move forward, without really understanding why.
When this happens, it is often our unconscious trying to speak to us, but we do not pay attention. These emotional or bodily messages, these tensions, are parts of us seeking to be heard, understood and integrated. I will give you the keys to decode these messages.
What if you were your own inner strength?
There are deep resources within you, forgotten or buried beneath sufferings, fears, wounds or blocks. Even when you feel you no longer know how to move forward, a part of you knows it, and can become a true guide within you.
In this approach, the therapist is not the one who holds the solution for you.
Persistent emotion, pain, or fear, an old belief, or an inner dilemma or else a repeating pattern? These manifestations are not only problems to be made to disappear. They are also doorways into a deeper understanding of yourself.
My role is to help you listen to what is trying to express itself, to create a clearer dialogue with your unconscious to find inner resources that will allow you to move forward.
How can I help you?
Stress, anxiety, phobias and emotional tension
You feel overwhelmed by intense emotions (fear, anger, sadness, shame, guilt…) that come back often or seem out of control.
You suffer from diffuse anxiety, high sensitivity, emotional overload, specific phobias (flying, animals, social situations…), difficulty letting go, states of tension or inner agitation, chronic stress, mental overload or professional exhaustion (burn-out).
Some situations linked to occasional stress can shift relatively quickly. Long-term anxiety states or traumatic experiences generally require longer support, respectful of each person’s inner rhythm.
Periods of transition, reconstruction or questioning
You are trying to rebuild yourself after a traumatic experience (sexual violence, assault, accident…). You are getting through life challenges, traumas, illness, separation, grief, any major personal or professional change, or a loss of bearings. I help you reconnect with meaning.
In these moments, the support I offer will help you reconnect with a more solid inner axis, regain clearer vision on your life, and strengthen your capability to move through what is showing up.
When trauma is involved, whether linked to a past event or to a deeply rooted belief, the work will aim to gradually deactivate traumatic memory, allowing the body and emotions to return to more harmonious states.
Chronic or disabling pain
You live with chronic pain or persistent tensions for which purely medical approaches are not enough to bring lasting relief.
You suffer from diffuse, acute or chronic pain, fibromyalgia, ankylosing spondylitis, persistent tension, chronic fatigue, or psychosomatic symptoms (digestive disorders, unexplained tension, migraines, functional disorders…).
Some pains or tensions may ease in one to three sessions when they are linked to an inner conflict or a specific emotional charge. Long-established, or connected to serious conditions ones, require a long-term support.
Repeating patterns and blocks
You feel as if you are always repeating the same scenarios in your personal, family or professional life. You have already tried other approaches without feeling that you reached the core of what is holding you back. You experience blocks, procrastination or a lack of motivation, and you struggle to make decisions or move forward concretely in your life.
You feel stuck in a loop, caught in self-sabotage, disproportionate reactions, recurring relational issues, or difficulty setting boundaries. You suffer from emotional dependency, you have troubles managing emotions, you feel a lack of self confidence, or not being good enough, or else some difficulty asserting yourself.
The goal is to understand what is being endlessly replayed, to soothe the parts of the self that react, and to gain greater freedom of choice in your life.
Eating disorders and your relationship with weight
You want to find a more peaceful relationship with your body after years of struggle and control.
You suffer from food compulsions, bulimia, anorexia, or a conflicted relationship with food or your body.
The support helps to create an in-depth harmonious relationship between body, food and emotions, gradually leading to a lasting change.
Search for meaning
You feel the need to know yourself better, to understand what deeply motivates you and what limits you in your personal and spiritual quest.
You will learn to open a space within yourself for inner dialogue, in order to tap into your deeper resources and to feel more alive, more aligned with whom you truly are.
Confidential and responsible support
The support I offer is part of a process of well-being, inner exploration and personal transformation. It does not involve in any case a medical or psychiatric diagnosis, and in no way replaces medical, psychological or psychiatric care.
When you already are under medical care with professionals such as a physician, psychiatrist, psychologist etc. the work I propose can be carried out as complementary, while respecting the existing framework. In case of diagnosed psychiatric disorders, such as bipolar disorder, severe depression or conditions requiring specialized follow-up, sessions can only be considered as a complement to appropriate medical or psychiatric care, and in agreement with the professional concerned.
The support is primarily intended for adults and adolescents. Depending on the situation, it may also be envisioned for younger children who are calm enough and able to remain focussed throughout the session.
For minors, prior to any request for support, an initial conversation with at least one parent or the legal tutor will always be compulsory. A parent must remain nearby throughout the session, and the support can only take place within a clear framework, with the agreement of both the parent and the young person involved.
A free initial phone call is systematically offered before any appointment. It allows us to take the time to understand your request, to assess whether my approach may be appropriate for your situation, and to guide you toward the most suitable support framework.
Following this exchange, I reserve the right not to offer an appointment if I consider that my practice is not adapted to your situation, or that another type of care would be preferable.
